La Spaienza is suitable for guests who love peace and comfort and perhaps want to play golf or make cultural trips to Olympia, Sparta, Mycenae, etc. The pleasant center of Methoni, with many restaurants, is only 1.5 km away. The beach is  even within walking distance.

Each apartment is large and very nicely decorated. All apartments in La Sapienza have a kitchen, bathroom, terrace, air conditioning and TV. There are both one-room apartments (for 2 to 3 people) and two-room apartments.

Hotel La Sapienza has a cozy bar, large terrace for breakfast, ample parking spaces, free WiFi and a very nice swimming pool. Yorgos, the cheerful and authentic Greek owner, often organizes a barbecue and Greek evening.

We offer you a package trip consisting of rental car and accommodation. The rental car will then be ready for you at Kalamata or Athens airport. You do not necessarily have to book a fixed (arrival) date. You can also book for 5 or 11 days, for example. Maybe you would like to go to Methoni for 1 week and to Kefalonia or Zakynthos for 1 week? We will arrange it for you.

On the way from Methoni to Zakynthos you will pass ancient Olympia. A visit to Olympia takes about 3 hours and it is definitely worth it. Without visiting Olympia it is about a 3.5 hour drive to the ferry that will take you from Kilini to Zakynthos in 55 minutes. The road is very good and there are frequent ferry departures in the summer months.

You can fly to Kalamata (which is the most convenient) or to Atene. It is often cheaper to fly to Athens, but it is still a long drive (3.5 hours). The road from the airport to Methoni is great. It is a new direct motorway, which does not carry much traffic.
