Zakynthos is hectic? No, Amoudi is a small town right by the sea on authentic Zakynthos. The town is located about 15 km from the airport, just below Alikes and Alikanas on the east coast of the island.

If you like peace and quiet and Authentic Greece, this is the ideal place for you. The beaches are quite small and often belong to the owners of various apartment complexes. By having a drink in the associated bar or something to eat in the taverna, you can spend the entire day on these beaches. It's just nice and quiet there. The Amoudi area is suitable for cycling and walking. In the village there are a few super good Greek Tavernas (restaurants) for both traditional fish, meat and vegetarian dishes as well as a simple, oh-so-tasty Souvlaki or Pita Gyros. Amoudi is the perfect base to get to know Zakynthos well, right in the middle of the east coast.
