HYDRA – The magic begins at sea

😊I have visited many beautiful places in Greece over the years, but every time our boat enters the harbour of Hydra, I still get exactly the same feeling. A smile. A little excitement. And a sense of wonder.

That feeling starts long before you arrive. From Ermioni or the small port of Methochi, you leave the mainland behind.  The sea becomes deeper blue and slowly, on the horizon, Hydra appears🧿

Then comes the moment.

The moment the boat enters the harbour.

Suddenly there it is. One of the most beautiful harbours in Greece⛵.  Elegant stone houses. Stylish cafés and restaurants. Beautiful boutiques. Fishing boats and yachts gently floating in the harbour.

And above all... no traffic, no noise, no stress💙

Just atmosphere, elegance and the endless geek blue of the sea.

Many of my guests say exactly the same thing when we arrive:

"Wow..." 💙And honestly, I completely understand.

Because Hydra is not famous for big monuments or spectacular attractions. Hydra is special because of the righ vibe....

I love walking through the little streets, enjoying a good lunch by the water, browsing the boutiques and simply watching life go by from a terrace.

Perhaps that is the biggest surprise of all. Not how beautiful Hydra is. But how quickly it makes you slow down. How easily it makes you forget the time. And how difficult it is to leave.

Every time the boat departs, I find myself looking back one more time.

Because Hydra is not just an island.

It is a feeling🧿🧿🧿🧿

And once you have experienced it, a little piece of Hydra stays with you forever.
