Wine and culinary trip to Greece

In 2025, we organized the Wine and Culinary Trip to Greece for the first time. It was an incredibly beautiful experience that stayed with everyone. The combination of Athens, Nafplion, Nemea, and Hydra worked so well that we are going to repeat this wine trip to Greece this year🧿

A Journey Full of Taste and Style

We start in Athens, the vibrant capital of the moment. Here, we enjoy the rich Greek food culture with authentic flavors, local specialties, and a lively atmosphere. Together, we experience the first unforgettable moments and discover why Athens is so inspiring.

From Athens, we travel to Nafplion, once the capital of Greece. This charming city is the heart of the famous Nemea wine region. Here you can taste top wines and experience the hospitality of local winemakers. The region is known for red wines made from the Agiorgitiko grape.

Enchantment on Hydra

Our journey continues via Ermioni, located in beautiful Argolis, an area appreciated even by the Royal Family. From here, we travel on to Hydra, a luxurious and exclusive island where time seems to stand still. No cars, no rush – just peace, charm, and a breathtaking backdrop. Stroll through picturesque streets, admire the traditional architecture, and enjoy the serene surroundings. Hydra is a special destination.

Iconic Sights

During this trip, we do not skip the cultural highlights. In Athens, we visit the Acropolis and wander through the atmospheric Plaka district. The spectacular view at Cape Sounion and the historic Corinth Canal complete this trip.

Athens Wine Tour Wednesday 08.10 to Monday 13.10 (five nights - six days)

Day 1 - October 8 (Thursday)

Arrival in Athens in the afternoon.

It takes about an hour to drive to the center of Athens. 

Dinner in restaurant in Athens.

Overnight stay at a four-star boutique hotel in the heart of the city, Anasa Hotel.

Day 2 - October 9 (Friday) 

Food walking tour of Athens to see the city and, of course, learn all about the food culture. Optional visit to the Acropolis. 

Overnight stay at the beautiful Anasa Hotel.

Day 3 - October 10 (Saturday) 

Today is dedicated to the wines of Nemea. Nemea is a sub-region within the Peloponnese, and it is one of the most famous wine regions in Greece. It is particularly known for the Agiorgitiko grape, which produces full-bodied, smooth red wines. We will visit two beautiful wineries and have lunch in Nemea. On the way to Nemea, we will of course make a brief stop at the Corinth Canal. 

Overnight stay in Nafplion, in a very beautiful hotel on the boulevard, Agamemnon Hotel.

Day 4 - October 11 (Sunday) 

Nafplion is a luxury destination where you can enjoy refined gastronomy and exclusive wines. Its historical charm and elegant ambiance make it the perfect place for connoisseurs.

We are going to cook Greek food under the guidance of a real Greek chef and, of course, have lunch.

Overnight stay in Nafplion, Hotel Agamemnon.

Day 5 - October 12 (Monday)

We drive from Nafplion, the capital of the Argolis region (essentially something like a province), past vast vineyards and olive groves, to the charming coastal town of Ermioni on the azure sea. From Ermioni, we sail to Hydra (at approx. 12:00), the exclusive, car-free island known for its luxury and timeless charm. 

Overnight stay on Hydra, another nice hotel... Hydroussa.

Day 6 - October 13 (Tuesday)

After a delicious breakfast, we board the Hellenic Seaways fast ferry in a relaxed manner, bound for Piraeus. The bus is waiting for us there, and we drive to our final wine tasting. Departure to Athens Airport.
